Pet Rescue, Wildlife Care and Habitat Restoration

Our Driving Force

Jamie Natural Health and Healing began with a healing commitment to Donna's dog, Jamie. Everything we do and create aligns with a core healing mandate. Our natural and energetic products, hand-made since the mid-90s, connect us to nature and her power to heal. Our decision to become a social enterprise business, and commit to the animal welfare lane, could not be more obvious. By the end of 2026, we hope to formalise a greater organisational economic commitment to pet-rescue and rehabilitation organisations; and wildlife and habitat restoration programs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our History and Ongoing Commitment

Jamie has a long history of pet-fostering and animal rescue. Donna has adopted older dogs, for example Cleo, a miniature poodle who needed rehoming after her elderly owner became a resident in elderly care. Donna also found a perfect home for Lucy, a long-haired standard dachshund whose owner was no longer able to care for her, and similarly found a loving home for two young puppies in Bali. One of Donna's greatest pet-care and rescue experiences was as a member of Labrador Rescue: in 2014 she cared for Lily for 3 months and gave extensive energetic healing to this 7-year-old lab-cross, before finding the right home for her in Sydney. As a first time foster carer, Donna adopted 8-year-old bonded pair Millie and Tessa within 6 hours. When hearts open, miracles happen.

Jamie Natural Health and Healing sponsors the work of the World Wildlife Fund. We support koalas in Australia, tigers in India and elephants in Sumatra. As well as wildlife adoption, Jamie also funds habitat-restoration programs of all three wildlife populations. Habitat restoration and the creation of safe corridors is integral to wildlife survival, species flourishment and environmental custodianship. In the era of climate change, Jamie will continue to serve emergencies: our koala sponsorship was a direct response to the 2019 Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria.

Jamie Natural Health and Healing is a contributing member of the Asia-Pacific community. Hence our commitment to the World Wildlife Fund which runs programs worldwide, and works for the rescue, rehabilitation and restoration of wildlife in Asia where resources are scarce. As soon as our status as a social enterprise business is confirmed, we hope to contribute to the sea turtle rescue, breeding and release program run by Global Village Foundation in North Bali. The population of sea turtles in Bali has been decimated by fishing and explosive practices. This is a program that sees the big picture and connects the dots: Global Village supports fishermen and their families by funding safe, sustainable practices that do not threaten species, sea-scapes and environmental health. School children are part of this program, and delight in learning about sea turtles and how we can best care for them and nurture healthy ecosystems.

As a frequent visitor to North Bali, where possible, Jamie Natural Health and Healing plans to help abandoned and health-challenged dogs and cats by supporting existing not-for-profit animal welfare organisations. Our commitment will change and grow over time: it may be that we support specific foster and adoption programs, assist with vet-care bills, or fund much-needed vaccination and sterilisation programs. Our broad-reach, pet- and wildlife-support commitments will always carry the mandate of healing, and support on-the-ground, trusted organisations best positioned to deliver care.

A Healing Mandate

Jamie Natural Health and Healing is driven by love and a healing mandate. To be able to support pets, wildlife and their devoted carers, is a privilege. Contributing in small ways to their efforts, is yet another way that we remember and give thanks to our own dogs and cats who have been the driving force behind Jamie Natural Health and Healing. A love of pets, animals and the environment is in everything we say, do, post and produce. It's who we are and what we do. This is the world of healing, and Jamie plays the long game.

Best Practice

Our own best practices have always and will continue to support the natural world. We only use practitioner-quality essential oils and natural ingredients, supported by the inclusion and promotion of traditional, herbal and energetic medicines. Natural ingredients have inbuilt protection, create powerful healing synergies and represent an integrated ecosystem.

Since our inception in 1996, we have packaged our products in glass. Glass packaging ensures product longevity, freshness and does not cause environmental harm. We continue to hand-recycle all of the returned glassware, which has enabled us to keep our prices lower. The complete hand-made and hand-recycling is hard work- but because it authenticates our environmental commitment- it's worth it. The only exception to glass-packaging are our shampoos and conditioners because glass containers in the shower present danger of breakage and accidents.

Commitment to Social Enterprise

Jamie Natural Health and Healing is working hard to formalise our social enterprise business credentials by the end of 2026. In the meantime, we will continue to support programs and organisations on a more informal basis. Note well, current financial contributions at the end of nominated collections and product descriptions. Rest assured that any product purchased, course undertaken, or commitment that you make to Jamie Natural Health and Healing, helps us to continually make a difference to the natural world.
